Venting greens
Here is a picture of David punching greens with a slicing tine to open up some vent holes in greens. This is a very important practice on our greens that allows for increased oxygen exchange to the roots. When we've been getting the rain and humid weather you have to do this to give the greens an opportunity to dry down and breathe. It has very little effect on ball roll.
David is one of the most senior amigos - this is David's 8th season with us. One of the reasons the course looks so good is due to the hard work and dedication that these amigos give us. They can be trusted to do the most important jobs on the course.

Pond bank cleanup
Cut all brush around pond banks today. It looks much better. I would like to lower level of pond on #9 and get the mini ex over there to shave down the pond bank and re-sod all the way down to the water to clean up the look of the banks- then raise water level back up. Maybe a big winter project next year.
Drip irrigation
Finished installing drip irrigation for new bed on the left side of #8 tee. plants will go in within next few weeks.
Duff
Duff swimming back to shore after chasing the geese on #4. The should be able to fly within the next couple weeks.
